Begleitpanzer 57S is an fire support vehicle based on PT-33 amphibious tank . It was designed to provide immediate support to landing forces with its 57mm autocannon against both air and ground targets. Thanks to removing the original turret weighting 14t and replacing it with 6t turret from Begleitpanzer 92B3 as well as implementation or CRT system featured previously on SPz Panther M2 it was possible to lower its weight to minimum and put it on pair with MSPz Walross M1 . Due to its relatively low weight with full ERA armor package it can get ashore fully protected along with main landing force.
