Description
SPW-66R is an artillery observation system (Artillerie-Beobachtungssystem) based on Type 66 hull. Equipped with communication system of higher level and powerful observation device, it is tasked with designating targets for artillery strikes, as well as coordinating artillery support with advancing units. Optical device is mounted on extendable mast that can get to height of up to 7 meters. In addition to all equipment based on vehicle, it can also transport team of forward observers with all equipment they might need.
