I just had some serious deja vu looking at this... I had a dream a couple weeks ago about some sort of house on a hillside, and this looks exactly like it.

Anyways, awesome drawing! I've always been fascinated by those types of houses.

Beautifully drawn, bad idea in practice. Major structural instability issue called Gravity. Building something like this on a slope on the side of a mountain ridge is asking for a landslide to rip it straight from its moorings. However, as I said first things though, it is a beautifully drawn structure, I especially like the way you drew and shaded the brick work. Very nice execution, just not the best architectural idea placement wise.

kaczor345 In reply to Leathurkatt-TFTiggy [2011-07-26 11:02:24 +0000 UTC]

I don't think that it will be impossible to make, and when it is possible, why to critisise the idea? There are many examples of buildings dealing with gravity very well, such like Balancing House from Britan, or Burj Dubai. They are very different, but if the architects were thinking in the way You propose, we will be far earlier in the evolution, still learning how to use fire, or not, beacause is better in practise to eat something which is cold. Be brave in dreaming about ideas, esspecially when You don't have boundings like in drawing. And thanks.

Oh, it's not the design of the house that's the issue I saw, the structure of it is beautiful. The problem is in the location. Some places are simply not conducive to supporting buildings.

oh, you are very good drawer!
I like here tonal and linear perspective, strokes and composition are good as well The only thing that bothers me is vertical lines. It seems that vanishing point is below now, but should be above. Or this building has construction with slanted verticals?.. I can't identify...

kaczor345 In reply to Carcaneloce [2011-02-06 15:57:27 +0000 UTC]

I assure You that on original drawing verticals are vertical. I didn't see it before, but it's caused by photo. My drawing teacher wouldn't let me finish that if there weren't correct verticles.

Świetnie oddana faktura materiałów. Obyło się bez linijki? (tak z ciekawości, bo kreski wyglądają na wyjątkowo proste)

Nice work with the details and shading- I can see a bit of Frank Lloyd Wright influence in this

No problem- again, great work

Yes, this house looks very contemporary, in spite of fact that was built many years ago. Frank Lloyd has many other interesting projects.
