Description Help for profile views for . They are personally my favorite to draw out of all the face angles. I don't really know why except for the fact that I don't have to deal with symmetry of eyes/ ears etc.
There are many different ways to draw a profile view, but I just draw a circle and go from there, and then draw a guideline for the back of the head from the top of the forehead to the jaw line before I draw the hair and the neck. I also draw a circle for judging the size and shape of the eye as well as it's position before I draw it.
If you want to make this more realistic, shade from a light source. Many anime art uses the ubiquitous light source and put shine marks and dodge tool EVERYWHERE. For the shading part I used the poorly drawn sun and arrow (drawn as an after thought with laptop touchpad) to show you.
Also, always draw ALL features even if you know/ think they will be covered up in the final drawing; it helps with proportions and anatomy and stuff.

TL;DR: Used a circle for forehead and eye, connected top of forehead and jawline for guideline of back of head before drawing neck and hair. Use defined light souce; it looks better/ more realistic. Draw everything; erase later. I like profile views.
