I still don't know if i like the idea of Vampire Jubilee, to this day. I always like Vampire girl (and goth stuff in general for that matter) and i like that it allow her to developed a friendship with X-23 but, i miss Classic Jubilee a lot. This new darkness to her character is quite intesresting but at the same time it's not the same girl anymore. It's a bit more than a regular "evolution of character", you know. Whatever will see what happen with this (hopefully not Blade).
This is a really good looking piece by the way.The shading is simple yet quite effective.

I like that they allowed her to grow up, if you read adjectiveless X-Men vol 4, she acts a bit more like classic Jubes but with everything else thrown in. I feel that allowing her personality to grow was really important and I feel like current Jubilee is the best version of her yet. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I fine with her personality, it's more the vampire thing that i am/was not too sure about ! I definitely agree that making her personality grow is a good thing for her (an most character for that matter). Having a character grow up is what i meant by "regular evolution of the character" actually, turning said character into a Vampire is an other story ! With that said, so far, i'm not disappointed in how Vampire Jubilee wasΒ portrayed. She still a fun character in the end. Like Gambit said, she's still the same Β . I kind of wish she still had her pyrotechnic energy plasmoids power though. Imagine a Vampire that could blow sh*t up with her hands LOL !Β
Also, you're right, she was pretty cool in X-Men Vol. 4 !Β

I will say that I'm starting to be a bit bored with what they're doing atm. All she's doing is standing around being all "yay, I'm a vampire, I feel great!" And hardly doing anything. I was hoping to see vampire Jubilee in action at the very least. It looks like I won't see that until the mini-series they do in January which looks to have a great team lined up (Kathryn Immonen and Phil Noto) to show what she goes through. Right now it feels like I'm watching someone playing their first Vampire: The Masquerade LARP... soooo boring.

I prefer Juby's classic style. Wondera looks like a wannabe Kamen Rider and... well, I can't really take that vampire stuff seriously.

It started in July with X-men #1 Curse of the Mutants, she got infected with a vampiric virus that started to call her to Dracula's son Xarus. In issue #2 Xarus had drawn her into his lair and bit her (after she begged him to make the emptiness inside her go away). We get to actually see vampire Jubes next month, in #3 out on Sept 9th

Wondra was recent, about 3 years ago. She lost her mutant powers during M day and then got a techno suit that gave her super strength and joined the New Warriors. The vampire Jubilee thing is going on RIGHT NOW in X-Men. In fact in X-Men 2 she JUST got sired by Dracula's son.

Yeah newer comics. She's hardly in the cartoon X-men Evolution and I don't think she's in Wolverine and the X-men.

Wolverine and the X-Men was another animated series. She only had small cameos in the X-men movies.
