Ngl this was meant to be just a quick sketch but I got distracted by seeing how much effort I could put into they eyes and then one thing lead to another and now here we're lol

But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, especially Louie's eyes cause that's what I was dreading the most.

Might turn it into a Three Wise Monkeys au but let's see where it goes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Long story but not so short, the triplets are apart of a prophecy. In the 10th century (when the 3 wise monkeys originated) a prophecy was made that a set of triplets would rise up, discover, and take down the major evil organizations of the world and unlock the world's secrets that it has to offer. And if killed before they fulfill it, their foes will be exposed upon their death.

Obviously no one for the next 1,000-ish years thought anything of it cause there's been plenty of triplets born and sure some batches have achieved great things but none have come close to being on the level the prophecy foretold. That is until the Duck boys moved in with Scrooge. They became so good at solving mysteries and rewriting history (pardon the lyric insert I couldn't help myself) that it grabbed the attention of bad higher ups. (Idk if I'm gonna make it FOWL yet or not, I gotta see more of how far FOWL is willing go to get what they want but we're just gonna say FOWL as a name holder for now)

As the triplets grow older, FOWL is realizing that Huey, Dewey, and Louie are going to fulfill the prophecy which wouldn't be bad if you weren't a giant Fiendish Organization for World Larceny. The Buzzards were smart enough to see this as a threat and not brush it off meaning something had to be done. With access to all the world's resources they knew they could at least do something. Because they wouldn't do the first part of dirty work, they hired a FOWL agent to kidnap the kids while at Funso's. Normally in a kidnapping, the triplets would be able to escape pretty easily but....kinda hard to do that when your drinks were drugged enough to take out even Launchpad or Beakley for a while.

The problem with kidnapping children from the McDuck/Duck/Vanderquack fam is as soon as they notice a child is missing, they WILL sniff you out like a blood hound and FOWL knows this. Rather than killing them, they had to find a way to at the very least, significantly slow down the prophecy fulfillment. Or at least until they can figure out a more permanent solution. So, the hastily made decision of removing one sense for each of the triplets was made, ironically mirroring the 3 wise monkeys. Thankfully each triplet wasn't awake and still heavily drugged when they were each operated on but FOWL didn't have time to follow your basic safety procedures and severely rushed Louie's operation, resulting in just his mouth and tongue being wired shut. Also not even taking the time to properly stitch each wound.

FOWL brought them all to a concrete, secluded room outside of their headquarters and just left them there to wake up. When they did wake up, they immediately as one should, start freaking out. They were still drugged up so didn't feel the pain full force but it definitely was still there.

Meanwhile Scrooge, Donald, Della, Launchpad, and Beakley managed to track down where exactly the kids were being kept and find a metal door leading to the concrete room. Webby stayed behind because if all 3 triplets couldn't escape then this was serious and Beakley had a bad gut feeling. There's a little slit underneath the door, big enough for fingers to fit through. So naturally Della and fam begin to call out their names but only Huey answers due to Louie not being able to talk and Dewey now being deaf. Huey explains that he's the only one that can talk back and asks if they have a pencil and paper. Della doesn't think too much of it cause right now she's just relieved they're alive and LP slides under a pencil and paper (cause of course he'd have like everything in his coat including burritos) so Louie can write down for Dewey to read.

Della asks for their hands to slide under the door just to make sure all 3 of her babies are there which they do and she immediately grabs a hold of them. Only problem is, everyone realizes they're covered in blood and that's when everyone from Scrooge to Beakley loses their cool. Because they're the largest and strongest, Beakley and LP begin to try and break down the door. Donald and Scrooge are already yelling, Della is freaking out but still being able to help out, no one had ever seen Launchpad this pissed off and serious before, and Beakley was trying to hide her worry through a professional face which only Scrooge could see through. After the fifth or so try, they managed to bust down the door and finally see the triplets.

I haven't thought about what happens next lol

But after everything and they're adapting, Huey slowly learns how to click his tongue and echo-locate. Also with Gyro and Fenton's help, they put a small chip in his brain that allows him to map out areas even if he still can't see what objects they are and the color. But with each passing month they're improving the design and hopefully one day Huey will be able to 'see' again. Dewey also with Gyro and Fenton's help, had custom hearing aids made for him although they're a little tricky since Dewey's ear canals were so mucked up and destroyed. Louie was probably the easiest. Their main goal was to just get the wires out so he could eat again. They got an actual doctor to properly fix his bill and tongue the best they could. However he still has trouble speaking with how deformed his tongue and bill became.

Scrooge at the time, no one could believe it was possible to be that incredibly angered. He put all adventuring and business deals on hold until he found who did this to his great nephews. Owlson took ober for him in the business aspect and had no problem with it cause she understood the time he needed to take off.

No one was going to rest until the family found the culprits even though they were right under their noses. Webby was also struggling to cope but unbeknownst to absolutely everyone, she acted as the 4th 'Do No Evil' monkey as the wild card.
