Without a doubt the best version of Blue I've ever read. Loving this so far. Genuine reminders that they are just kids and Blue isn't an a-hole. He's just a kid who thinks a tad too highly of himself. Also loving your take on the pokemon designs.Β

Thanks! I was never a huge fan of those Blues and Garys who are just irredeemable jerkwads for no apparent reason, so I set out to make him believably a best friend, but also just a little bit punchable at the same time. I'm glad you like the pokemon, too!

A close second is the take Jutopa gave his Blue. He's a jerk at first but he worked in an interesting backstory that shows he's driven by guilt for screwing up before his adventure even story. I'm really looking forward to how your world develops and how things like Team Rocket are dealt with. No rush, of course! Just saying, with the childishness of Red and Blue, seeing the rest of Kanto from this perspective is bound to be good and interesting.Β

Yeah i still really like how this page came out. But, I found a slightly faster way, and will likely be sticking too it. Slightly fatter lines make this level of detail not quite so feasible, but at least this is here to stay on this page.

the paniced look on that spiky poison bunny's face makes me fearful of it bouncing around. you did so well with the room layout but the first two panels of red taking her hat off are still my favorite XD Blue and Red just hanging out in their pjs is so cute!
