Thanks. I appreciate the comment. The size of the right hand is still bothering me, though. I still want to redo this...

Always imagined he would have some very small ear lobes somewhere underneath, between the 1st and 2nd quill/spine.

I notice you've choosen to draw the feet with 5 digits rather than 4.
I love the detailing in the bone structure in the feet and hands.
The recess of the nasal cavity and the pointy teeth of the mouth look great.
A question I would ask on the skull is whether the back of the skull extends back far enough and whether or not there should be any bone ridges on the skull where the spines make contact with it?
Cool work I must say. I like the technical detail.

Feet
I once went (a couple of times) to the Zoological museum in Cambridge, UK. In Cambridge there's a whole group of different canvas's(?) for the university and with them there's also a large number of different museums open to the public.
The fascinating thing about the Zoological museum is that it looks at the morphologies of different animals.
One thing that is common to pretty much all animals is that they have 5 digits in their skeleton. Including Mammmals (Cats, dogs, us, etc.), Reptiles, amphibians and I think even fish?
The evolutionary development common to all these creatures is the Pentadactyl (Five-Digit) devlopment of the bone structure. Look at your hand and look at a birds wing, a bats wing, a dolphins flipper, and you'll see the 5 digits that spread out from the wrist.
What does vary is how these digits are arranged. They can be rotated around the axis of the limb with some digits facing forwards and others back or the digit is further up the leg. The digits can atrophy in the case of snakes and slow worms to the point that the whole limb is lost (some snakes still have vestidual limbs consisting of a single bone, all that left of the limb but it's not visible on the surface). In other cases the digits become fused together such as dolphins, pengins, etc.
This 5 digit system is the same for both hands and legs.
The foot issue is an interesting point of debate with people who draw sonic character (for whatever reason) bare foot. Some think they have a single pad, others a clubed foot consisting of 3 toes, others 4 toes and others 5 toes.
I think the 4 toes comes from one of the cartoon traditions where characters are drawn with 4 toes and/or 4 digits on the hand to simplfy the cartoon. Possibly because they feel that 5 fingers/toes doesn't look quite right.
As for what is right with Sega Sonic characters, we don't know for sure because to the best of my knowledge Sonic & Knuckles have never taken their shoes off (Stinky!). Although Tikal has worn sandles, the lack of any definant toe structure on the feet could be due to the limitations of the 3d software used to make Sonic Adventure.
It's a bit long winded but the answer is up to you what you think is best.
As for the skull shape I might have some Echnida skulls I had a go at sketching somewhere. I was trying to make some tomb guardians for Rouge the bat to fight off whilst she was searching for some treasure in a half abandonned comic strip idea I was working (until I hit a bit of an artistic block early in the comic). I could have a look for them if you like and I'll post them to my scraps and forward a link to you.

I agree with 5 fingers, it just doesn't look right otherwise.
Good idea on keeping it consistent.
