PLEASE DO NOT USE SINCE I DESIGNED THIS MYSELF THANK YOU. ;_________;I've always wanted a version of Phèdre's marque on my back since I was like 16 and I first read Kushiel's Dart back in 2001. Unfortunately, I never quite liked the book's version and I thought my own should be a bit more individualised, as marques should be, yes? I've spent a couple of hours designing this for my own personal use.
The image itself was made in Photoshop CS2 with vectors from GoMedia ([link] ) severely edited and rotated and blah blah yada yada voila, there it is.
Sadly, I heard that it probably will be difficult for a tattoo artist to re-duplicate computer-designed tattoos. We shall have to see.

Ooh, interesting. I also wanted a version of Phedre's marque when I read the book at the same age, 16. I waited until I was 21 and I still felt the same and wanted the marque. However, now married at 23, so I had to take in consideration my husband's judging opinion that back tattoos are a "tramp stamp", apparently!
There are still a lot of people that hate tattoos, especially in the U.S. In England, my home country, they are far more accepted, as religion and social prejudice bullsh*t dominates the minds of the British far less. I might still get it, just to spite him, though I already found my own version on a cosplayer's back on the internet, designed by the cosplayer.

They can do it as long as it's large enough for the human hand to recreate. If your artist tells you they can't, they're not a real artist. Find someone else. If its what you really want, don't rest until you find someone who can do it.

If you want to use it for something graphics-related (like for a character profile or something), then go ahead as long as you credit Kaeleers-Heart @ DA and let me know in comments... but I just don't want people getting that version tattooed on their back since I designed it specifically for myself.

Yeah, I get what you mean. I would've been pretty frustrated if I saw something of my piece that someone else used, and didn't even let me know about it.
