the only thing i miss is some colors in his armor, but i am a color freak. It really looks awesome

I got here from the step-by-step paint u posted. Since I malas want to post two comments on two different deviation, i just put a 2+1 comment here ok?
First impression when I see the step-by-step, i kinda like the second last version before this final one. I dunno la, it may be just me and my personal taste hehe. but the second last version looks much more natural and pleasing to the eye. The finalized one is not bad either, but for me there's too much detail in terms of colour shades. And u also noticed that the warrior and the orc tends to "merge" rite? XD
Last time I got this comment from Zeen, and I thought I might share it with u. When it comes to drawing (and colouring also), u must know which part is the main character, and which part is the supporting character. In this, I think the main character would be the warrior and the orcs are supporting characters. Thus more details should be put on the main character. For your case, the three of them has about the same amount of detailness, thus they tend to appear flat and merged. He also mentioned that colours for supporting elements just put in cincai cincai onli. I think if you go look at his figure drawing, he tends to just blotch colours on the legs coz he wants ppl to concentrate more on the face and body. It's kinda like catching the attention of the viewer's. O_O hope u get what I'm trying to say. I think I'm beginning to ramble like nenek now. =A=
Another thing is the choice of colours. Front characters should appear lighter and the back ones much darker. from the step by step, yours are kind of the other way around. XD And I think if u reduce the light shades of the BG and make it darker than the characters, this would turn out real nice!
But heck, I do love this style of colouring! You're doing really well and I love those vector-ish shadows and tones. Great job, as always Kael.

those are very helpful, i'll keep them in mind and try to avoid these mistakes again next time!
there's already 3 or 4 ppl mention that they love the one before filter, so i guess i'm wrong to think of giving it more impact after filter,haha..
yeah i noticed zeen's paintings on focussing and where to add details.
I'll observe and experiment more, thanks alot again!
