Very interesting in that it brings the smoother characteristics of 2D fractals to a large surface whilst retaining the strong crinkle of 3D elsewhere.

Yes, and I love when I find some old known shape in the middle of the 3D, which is happening often.

I love all these Mandelbulber images you are doing. A lot of 3d fractals just rely on novelty and won't be seen as anything special once 3d fractals are more widely made. But yours are artistic and creative in their own right and will stand the test of time.

I agree that a lot of the 3D fractals focus on the new shapes, where I focus mainly on the surfaces and textures, like with 2D fractals. And I still don't submit what I don't 'feel' good, looking for the best !
