Description
The first of some skull related imagery I've been working on recently, based largely on my thoughts surrounding the folk story of Skeleton Woman, and its theme of the life-death-rebirth cycle.Pastels, white ink and watercolours. 8x10 inches.

Love this. I was looking for deer skull photo reference and had to stop and fav this image before continuing the search. I'll have to come back and check out your newer stuff later. Saw the pen and inks on the front page, they look incredible as well.

Lovely work. A very interesting idea too. Looks like the actresses from the play I worked on, except those masks were fur, not bone.

For some reason I keep being drawn to the lighter patch around her navel. Don't know why it's so fascinating but I love the texture!
