Stepping out onto the hot golden sand, you sucked in a deep breath of the gentle ocean breeze which was playing with your (h/c) hair. The beach was a really nice place to be. Opening your eyes, your (e/c) orbs slowly took in your surroundings.
The warm, soft and yellow sand that stretches out for miles in either direction.
The clear turquoise salt water with it's tide slowly pushing small and gentle waves toward the shore.
And the warm sun beating down in the bright blue sky, not a cloud to be seen. It had turned out to be a great summer day.

"...RICCHAN!" The voice of your brunette guitar playing friend, Yui, had trailed over. Intrigued, you looked towards where both her and Ritsu were standing next to large piece of driftwood. Your sandy haired friend was hugging Yui tightly, and they were yelling out random things. You rolled your eyes at this. Typical Ritsu and Yui, up to their shenanigans.

'Who should I join?' Gaze trailing to the left, you saw Tsumugi, your blonde friend hunched over a large sand castle. Sand castle was an understatement, it was so large, it was almost bigger than Mugi. Azusa was standing to the side, watching Mugi.
'Maybe not Mugi… She looks busy.' You watched Mugi construct her sandcastle for a little longer, until a thought hit you.

'Wait a minute, where is Mio?!' Frantically looking around, you felt scared for a second, until you spotted your raven haired friend crouched over all the way to the left of the beach. She was about 50 meters away.
'Weird…' Starting over in her direction, you jogged most of the way. When you got a bit closer, you noticed that she was shaking. Strange. When you finally reached Mio, you gently placed your hand on her shoulder. She jumped quickly turning her head and holding up her arms to protect herself, but her eyes softened and she relaxed as soon as she noticed it was you.

"Hey Mio!"
"Oh, h-hi there (f/n)." She replied in a quiet voice. She wasn't usually scared like this… unless. "Um, there isn't any barnacles on my back...is there?"
"What? No, of course not. Why?" You asked, trying to get to the bottom of the problem.
"Stupid Ritsu told me there was." You sighed heavily. Yep. Ritsu, of course. Wrapping your arms around Mio, you gave her a small, but reassuring hug.
"Hey, it's okay Mio." The black haired girl mumbled her thanks as she squeezed you back. "It's almost time for lunch, would you like some ice cream?" That question rewarded you with a warm smile.
"Of course." Mio grabbed your hand and stood, beginning to walk back over to the others.

You stood at the table along with the light music club. You all stared intently at the large tub of ice cream in the middle of the table. Your mouth watered slightly at the sight of it. It was pretty hot today, and some ice cream would make it perfect.

Taking the initiative, you leaned forward and pried the lid off. After opening, you saw that it was Neapolitan ice cream. The one with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Once you had moved, Mugi grabbed an ice cream scoop and began scooping ice cream into separate bowls, handing them to everyone. Holding your spoon in excitement, you walked over and sat next to Mio, who was sitting a little away from everyone else. You stared down at your strawberry ice cream, slowly lifting a spoonful toward your mouth. The ice cream tasted cool and refreshing.

Stealing a quick glance towards Mio, you noticed she had a look of sadness on her face.
"Hey, Mio? What's the matter?" She pouted.
"I didn't get any strawberry."
"That's a childish thing to complain about." You teased, poking your tongue out at her. In response, your raven-haired friend puffed her cheeks out.

"But it's my favorite." You offered your bowl full of strawberry ice cream to her. You felt something trickling down from your mouth. You concluded it was probably sweat. Mio shook her head and looked toward your mouth. You raised an eyebrow, confused at what she was looking at. A blush suddenly became evident on her face and cheeks and you noticed that she suddenly leaned closer to your face.

"Mio, what are yo-" You were cut off as she pressed her lips against yours. Unable to protest, you closed your eyes and enjoyed this affection from Mio. After what felt like forever, the black haired girl leaned back, breaking the kiss. Your face became a bright red when she licked her lips. So it was strawberry ice cream that was trickling down your face. Mio smiled at you, and unable to help yourself, you leaned over to her to steal another kiss.

Extended ending:
"Come on Yui, lets go back to the beach!" Ritsu exclaimed, playfully tugging on Yui's arm.
"Do you think we should go and get (f/n)-chan and Mio-chan?" She asked the others, looking over at where you and Mio were passionately making out. Mugi was staring intently and you both through two rolled up magazines and looked genuinely happy. Azusa was blushing a little and avoiding looking over in that direction. Ritsu took a quick glance and noticed, but smirked and shook her head.

"Nah, just leave them." All of them giggled and walked towards the beach. All except Mugi, who skilfully hid behind a bush so she could keep… observing?
