Shinta acts apathetic and tranquil towards others, even in the most drastic of situations. Because of this, he usually comes off as arrogant and uncaring. As such, he appears to have little aspiration to form strong relationships with others, instead focusing on his studies in hopes of meeting his parents’ expectations and becoming a successful head of the family business.
Shinta strongly believes in values and maintaining order. In order to uphold this, he believes in working hard and that no mistake or rule breaking should go unpunished, even if personal feelings are involved. He has a strong sense of respect and satisfaction for those who follow this conduct, even if done unintentionally. This mannerism is largely due to his position as company heir.

Despite his typical cold demeanour, Shinta expresses himself in various different ways. For instance, he is easily irritated when people point out his abilities limits and refer to him improperly by using nicknames and whatnot. He is also extremely dedicated to his learning, to the point of having an excessive amount of grief if he gets a horrible mark on something. The only times he displays a softer side is when he has to tutor others. He is actually emotionally conflicted regularly, but his dedication to learning hides this.
