I know I'm late to comment on this, but in Kill la Kill the clothing and how clothing shapes society are the main topics so naturally the outfits look bizarre.

Well in this past couple of months I have grown used to the ourtrageous outfits 

thanks to watching Coaches corner in hockey night Canada.

Also why were gone for so long, was it because of the protest in Thailand?

Let it go, you dwell on that, you miss how awesome Kill la Kill is.  Considering the teacher practically stripteases, that is tame.  I think people who focus on that one thing are a bit shallow because you as the viewer and Ryuko eventually stop paying attention to the outfit as you watch.

You are probably right about that. I guess it is from my 

Media Studies Class which teaches us about being conscious

of things in media that offensive to races, creeds, cultures, and 

genders.

Yeah, I know how that can be, but it is more on our society really is messed up in that retrospect.  Gore=fine, A bit of skin reveal=oh gawd take it down!   I hope that eventually stops being an issue.  Also it is Anime, true not all have the same things, but I find it more intellectual than a lot I've see(not all) of current gen cartoons and like some situation comedies.

To be absolutely honest I am one of the few people who is still repulsed 

by the high levels of blood and Gore you see in modern media. It is one of

the main reasons why I prefer DC comics over Marvel comics.

Also on the note of relevance there need to be restrictions on these sorts of 

things.

The main reason for this is because there are no regulations on 

Corporations to stop them from doing this since the 1980s. The 

people you can blame for this are Ronald Reagan of the USA, 

Margaret Thatcher of the Uk, and Brian Malrouney of Canada.

These three got rid of ALL the restrictions on banks and Corporations

that prevented them from destroying jobs, and filling EVERYTHING

with these GODDAMN COMMERCIALS!!!

That is the reason I like Japan, their media is not as filtered, in some cases odd, yes.  I find it funny that Japan's media is more free than ours.   XD

That's true, but I have preference for the European media.

While also having the lack of restrictions as in Japan, they

have characters who are more believable and less childish.
