Mew is an old legendary, so I imagine it’s been through a lot.

What if it’s cheerful, innocent persona started to fade overtime?

It’s seen countless Pokemon die, experienced Team Rocket be abusive, done it’s share of battles, and survived trainers trying to catch it

It becomes bitter; angry at how cruel the world can be. Humans stealing it’s DNA to make a clone didn’t help either.

What if Mew looked more similar to Mewtwo?

It could have the belly/tail marking, or a similar greyish pelt with the same hands

The lil’ grabby hands are probably my favourite~
