Happy Chinese new year everyone! This a drawing of Fukurokuju, a Japanese god of fortune which is a combined version of the 3 luck gods from China ( Fu, Lu and Shou) Fukurokuju is said to be a god from the the Song Dynasty during Ancient China so I tried my best to make her clothes design from the Song Dynasty ^^

It was so hard trying to find the legit words on the Gold coins from the Song Dynasty lol. This god is very wise and has lived for very long, so she always carries scrolls filled with the secrets of the world. The crows and turtle symbolizes longevity and pan with ash and sticks are what people in China use to worship a God. You hold it between your hands while saying your prayer for the new year then place it somewhere in the ashes. And of course I think everyone know about the Red envelope . I tried to place her in a Shrine, but I'm not sure it is noticeable T-T

Somehow I still overkill on clothing design even when I design the clothes myself ;-;
