what is the animal in the bottom left hand corner? i can't tell if it is being threatening, or howling out in pain.... i love the motion of the pic... circling around and around.... and the creature on the bottom seems to be made of pure darkness....

Thank you so much for your insightful comments...I've been away from DA for awhile, as you probably have noticed. ^^
And the creature in the bottome left corner is supposed to represent betrayal...the feelings of loss and pain and maddness and evil are all incorporated...I'm changing his design, though, to make him less wolf-like, more demon-like.
Ah, so you've noticed Smokes! Pure darkness is a wonderful way to describe him...I'm using him as a character in a book I'm writing...he represents the cycle of cruelty, where the innocent choose to become cruel due to being cruelly treated...He is a "turning away from light to solve problems" character.
Of course, this is a very old piece, and all of the characters need to be updated...I tried to make this version "Disney-esque" as opposed to my normal style.

Holy Jesus girl, this painting is FANTASTIC. I love your use of colours, and the arrangement of all your chosen elements. It definitely has a very surreal feel to it, but it seems to progress more to solidity as you go down the picture.

WOW, what a dream... is all this from one dream!? This is both amazing and beautiful and weird and creepy at the same time. Very disturbing. I'm definetly faving it! And that's despite the creepy-looking staring eye in the middle, the scary werewolf AND the very eerie dude in the straight jacket -with a red heart on it... o_O He better not hurt that yellow puppy!!!!!!!!! I really like the red bubbles, the white mist/cloud/fog thing, the birds, the lion and the horse and even the weird red-winged angel, tho Smokers alone is wort the fave
A very colorful dream. Just like your art. There's nothing wrond with your imagination, that's for sure. Maybe these dreams helps you be even better as an artist, on a subconscious level at least.

All of this is a combination of multiple dreams. I'm glad you like my creepy style, I just can't seem to move away from it!

I really love drawing from my dreams. I think it ends up being the most creative thing i do. oh, and the shiney purple thing is a necklace with amethyst, the stone of dreamers and prophesy.
