Description
"ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE TO YOU THE DESTROYERS OF YOUR WORLD! CLAUDANDUS, NECROTHERIUS, VASTATO, ZHUQUE, COPPERHEAD, MAGITA, YAPOOL, GYGES, THE RED SHADOW, AND I AM ASTAROTH! WE ARE THE TEN TERRORS OF GORATH! AND WE ARE HERE FOR THE ANTI-LIFE, SO WE MAY DROWN YOUR WORLD IN DARKNESS!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gorath is a mystery to all but the most ancient of beings. Few know of its true origins in the universe. And those who do know are those who have dwelt within its confines. For it exists within a separate plane of reality that stems from the essence of the "Underworld", or as others would put it: Limbo, Helheim, and every other plane of existence that harbors souls.
One such being who has spent over a dozen lifetimes within the underworld that is Gorath. Learning to master its dark power, and become its undisputed ruler. Now it acts as the seat of power for The Tenebris Empire, and those in service to the Dark Lord. Yet there are more beings upon this rock of fire, and brimstone that just Bagan's forces. In his service, Bagan has tamed, and employed the aid of monstrous beings who hold certain powers that make them second only to the Dark One. They follow a code of conduct, based on their own twisted sense of honor, and will follow only the laws of their clan, and their master.
With their Emperor, Lord Bagan, holding their leash, their numbers include:
Claudandus, the wicked kaiju sorcerer who feeds upon organic matter after turning it into an enchanted, metallic substance, which fuels his formidable magic, and his geokinesis which allows him complete control over the elements of the Earth for a myriad of purposes - aside from serving as a sort of Chamberlain to The Emperor
Necrotherius, the ruthless necromancer who holds the power to raise the dead as necrotic beasts that obey his every whim, and who is a faithful follower of the Laws of Darkness, by which The Terrors live, and who enforces the will of The Emperor same as Gyges and Astaroth.
Vastato, the brutish metalloid who is simple in the brain, but vicious with the power to turn his body into a lethal weapon, as he uses these abilities to not only satiate his endless hunger for flesh, but also to obey his masters, and the will of The Emperor.
Zhuque, a vermillion warrior who holds to the code of The Laws of Darkness, which keep even the Terrors, and their master limited. But to Zhuque, this is a perfect form of balance, which he respects above all else. Even though he serves the Darkness, and in turn The Emperor, he does not qualify as evil. He simply does what he must to maintain the balance of creation. On this ground, he and Necrotherius share some form of understanding.
Copperhead, who is one of a kind among his antilock brethren - namely in that he is the only one of his kind. Like the lava of a volcano, he burns with righteous fury, and unleashes flaming power to surpass such power, he also moves slow and steady. He also respects the Laws of Darkness, and is willing to give his enemies a fair chance by placing a contest to determine who will win. Whether the day comes when he should lose his own game, or not, he will at least take solace in knowing he showed those who challenge him just how hot "hot" can be.
Magita, The asexual god of the Trilopods who gave rise to the race long ago. When Bagan came to recruit the titan, Magita was reluctant to be in service to anyone, much less another titan. But then The Emperor demonstrated his power, and showed that he was a power to be reckoned with........and Magita could share in the power. Intrigued, Magita joined as a member of the Ten Terrors, and provided the army force that would make the Tenebris Empire so formidable. Though it prefers feeding on other, smaller, weaker kaiju, Magita understands its role just fine, and knows to obey the Laws of Darkness as the others do. The last thing Magita would want is for the Emperor to ever turn his power in its direction.
Yapool, The Seeker of Darkness, who exists to solely see where the wheels of fate will turn next. And see how the will of The Darkness will fare against the growing forces of Light. His interdimensional prowess makes him formidable to any enemy he faces, but it's also his unpredictable nature that makes him a foe to fear. That is why the Emperor has servants who keep a close eye on him should he dare to defile The Laws of Darkness. After all, as an embodiment of Darkness, Yapool sees no reason to be bound by rules, and laws. Only the complete subjugation of reality via the Darkness will satiate this seeker's quest for power.
Gyges, the multi-limbed giant who rules over the sea element with vigorous ferocity. As the most violent of the Terrors, it only made sense this beast would have been born of the ocean: for few can stand against the ruthlessness of the sea when its fury comes forth as tidal waves, and more. Gyges himself has the temper to match, and though he respects the Laws of Darkness, he is not someone who likes to bend for anyone. All he wants is to crush everything in his path, and satiate his thirst for violence. The only things that keep him in his place are the Terrors who obey and respect the Law. And even he isn't mad enough to challenge the Emperor. Even the mightiest ships can be crushed by waves of ocean that are as mountainous as they are strong. Bagan himself is no different.
The Red Shadow, who changes his form more often than a lightbulb in a lamp gets changed. Red Shadow's motivations are mysterious as they are elusive to understand. But it seems all too clear he serves the will of chaos. He delights in breaking the minds of others .........before he eats them whole. Either way, this creature is an unpredictable force, and should not be taken lightly.
Astaroth, The Crystal Lord, and the true apprentice to Emperor Bagan. Out of the Ten, only he is second in mind, power, and strength to Lord Bagan, and he ensures that no other forgets it. Although his base form is on the same level as his brethren, it's when he slips into his Archdemon form that he really shows what kind of titan he is. His might over the mind, and his use of the crystal element are unparalleled, and it's allowed him to terraform numerous worlds into extensions of himself to use as power bases. He knows to follow, and obey The Laws of Darkness, but as a Tenebris, he is always plotting a means to overthrow his own master, and take his place as Emperor. After all, there can only be one true ruler of the Multiverse, and Master of The Antilife.
Alone, they each are a formidable enemy: but when united, even the greatest defenses of any world would pale in comparison to their great shadow.
