1954 At the end of the nuclear bomb age,at the beginning of March,the U.S. tested the first H-bomb, Castle Bravo ,on Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands.Having not warned Japan,a small fishing ship called the Diago Fukuryo Maru (Lucky Dragon No: 5) was sailing nearby and was hit by the fallout,resulting in the death of the ship´s radioman.most fish caught around Japan for the next few months were contaminated and could not be eaten.
In the month of November,Godzilla,a giant savage 50 meter Kaiju created by the radioactivity from the Castle Bravo bomb,appears on Odo Island and later attacks the city of Tokyo.The monster was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer,a device invented by Daisuke Serizawa,who sacrificed himself and died with the King of Monsters in order to insure that his device would never be used again.
