Anguirus
Armored Dinosaur

The beast Anguirus was first incountered in 1955 on Iwato Island and found by pilots Tsukioka and Kobayashi. When their plane made an emergency landing they heard the echoes of two creatures. In horror they found the first to be the returned King of the Monsters, Godzilla (or for some Godzilla 2). They two creatures had ingaged in battle, for some reason, and was beileved concluded when the two titans fell of a cliff and into the ocean.

After that, scientists found that Godzilla and Anguirus's species were from around the same time period and constantly battle over territory and such. Anguirus is actually a calm species, but becomes fearocius when threaten. Since Godzilla's kind in aggresive, it was only natruall that these two races would become rivals. Later, Godzilla appeared again this time in Osaka and was taken on by the air force. Anguirus return for a rematch in Osaka, but was deafeted by Godzilla and forced to retreat, but this time with greater respect for Godzilla. Later, Tsukioka and Kobayashi went on a search for Godzilla after they heard that he destroyed one of their fishing boats and found him on an icy island. During a battle with the air force again, Kobayashi dives down twords the giant, but is killed by Godzilla. Tsukioka and the others blast the mountain and bury Godzilla in ice. Tsukioka looks to the sky, and says, "Kobayashi, we buried Godzilla for you."

Anguirus became good friends with Godzilla afterwards and has become one of the most loyal monsters to him. His loss to Godzilla does not fill him with fear for the King, it fills him with respect.
