The planet Earth was covered in billions of dangerous energy crystals. Their powers even created a dangerous monsters formed from the planets own molten core, Obsidius. Fortuantly, Earth had it's defenders, the Gotengo and Godzilla. Very soon though, one of the universes greatest evils was about to return.

While Godzilla continued across the U.S. from Seattle to New York, the Gotengo and it's crew were busy trying to deal with the giant crystal in Central Park. Any attack on the crystal was but to shame. The monilith's surface was harder than diamond and no laser, missile, or rocket could even come close to shattering it. Finally, Gordon ordered the Gotengo to drill straight through. But even the gaint drill couldn't get through. Suddenly, the giant cystal bombarded the battleship with energy bolts, hurling it back. Nothing seem to be effecting the massive crystal, leaving the Gotengo's crew to begin working on plan B.

Suddenly, Godzilla came roaring in and began attacking the giant crystal. After effectively blowing up the crystal monilith with his Atomic Ray, Godzilla did not celebrate just yet. The rubble left by the shattered remains exploded from below, revealing a new monster. A perfect merging of organic muscle and living crystals, Krystalak.

The wicked monster began attacking Godzilla with lightning speed, crystal barrages and even a few dirty tactics. It didn't take long before the crystal demon braught down the Monster King and began howling in victory. The Gotengo began to fight the crystal-spawned mutation next, with just as much luck as when they were fighting the monilith. Godzilla rose back up and remembered the strange crystals energy making him stronger. With no time to dealy, Godzilla began tearing into the crystals and started absorging and energy to become twice as strong. Just as Krystalak prepared to destroy the Gotengo, Godzilla intervened and began overpowering the sinister beast. Godzilla continued to use the crystals energy, now known as "Power Surges", to soon bring down the maniacal creature. Just as victory seemed assured, Krystalak rose agian. Though shattered and beaten, the vile beast had one last nasty surprise for the saviors. The moster showed that it's core had been ruptured and planned to use this as it's ultimate weapon. The monster forced it's own core to go critical and caused an intense warp around reality itself, causing a wormhole to open up, sucking in both Godzilla and the Gotengo.

The crew of the Gotengo finally awoke to the cite of an entirely new world forged of crystals with no portal behind them. What appeared like a night sky was nothing more than smaller floating crystals. Once back up, the Gotengo saw that Godzilla was already ahead of them and heading to another area. While following Godzilla, analysis showed that the planet they were on was twice the size of Earth's moon. The whole planet was made of the same crystals that covered the Earth and giving off larger doses of the strange energy. But instead of it's core in the middle of the planet, it appeared to be on the surface and at the same location that Godzilla was heading towards. As the atomic saurian and battleship marched on they came across a gigantic crystal, almost three times the size as the one in New York. Suddenly, Godzilla seemed to look shaken, almost as if he was frightened. As the crew looked up as well, they saw the monster within the giant crystal and gasped in horror at the site of the believed dead Crystal Sultan, Spacegodzilla.
