Description Is it a kind of dream,
Floating out on the tide,
Following the river of death downstream?
Oh, is it a dream?

There's a fog along the horizon,
A strange glow in the sky,
And nobody seems to know where you go,
And what does it mean?
Oh, is it a dream?

Bright eyes,
Burning like fire.
Bright eyes,
How can you close and fail
How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Bright eyes.

Is it a kind of shadow,
Reaching into the night,
Wandering over the hills unseen,
Or is it a dream?

There's a high wind in the trees,
A cold sound in the air,
And nobody ever knows when you go,
And where do you start,
Oh, into the dark.

Bright eyes,
burning like fire.
Bright eyes,
how can you close and fail
How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Bright eyes.

Bright eyes,
burning like fire.
Bright eyes,
how can you close and fail
How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale?
Bright eyes.

Lyrics by Mike Batt

So my friend and I have this thing called Anime Night.  We watch an animated series after work.  We've watched all kinds of anime and shows from Hunter X Hunter to Angel Beats.  Now we are currently watching Watership Down the series.  It's been great fun and for a kids show has some surprisingly mature topics and writing.  I just had to draw some of the main protagonists.  Shown from left to right is Hazel the leader, Pipkin the chubby bunny, Fiver the seer and Bigwig the soldier.  I found the original theme song and fell pretty hard for it.  This show is cute, endearing, with a healthy cast and stories that are very entertaining.

Drawing these rabbits was a great challenge too.  I used different references for each character because I wanted to draw them at different angles.  The coloring was easy for some, harder for others.  Drawing in a cartoonish style isn't as fast and loose as people would have you think.  It was a lot of fun making them look as close to the source material as I could.

These characters belong to Alltime Entertainment and Richard Adams.
