GAIRA

Height: 28 meters

After the battle with Baragon small bits of Frankenstein's flesh fell from his body and took on a life of their own and one became Sanda and the other became Gaira. The latter was a 28 meter predatory, semi-aquatic, primate that had a habit of eating humans. He was found in 1966 and was under attack by the JDSF when his "brother" sanda came to his aid but the two being quickly fell into violence when peaceful herbivore Sanda found his brother eating humans and attacked him and the two fought terribly until they fell into a volcano. In 1968 they were both found crawling out of the pit and were captured and moved to monster island, Gaira had to be moved to an alternate island or atoll for his own safety as the other kaiju immediately tried to kill him.
