Found as an infant after the traumatic battle between Frankenstein and Baragon in 1964, little Sanda was a friend to man like his "father" but escaped into the woods and soon grew to 30 meters. Sanda was one day alerted to plaintiff cries similar to himself and rushed to find Gaira under attack by the JDSF and rescued the green monster. Days later Sanda discovered why the humans hated Gaira as he was a carnivorous fiend and Sanda attacked him eventually their struggle led them toward a volcano that engulfed them both. In 1968 Sanda and Gaira were moved to monster island.
