Another long overdue commish for !These characters are Tripredacus and Magnaboss.
I guess...technically, you could say that there are two different versions of each character, being the Magnaboss that was created from the Maximal Imperium of Prowl, Silverbolt (original) and Ironhide, and then there was the Magnaboss of Planet Gaea, now known as Magnaboss II, who was combined from Lio Junior, Skywarp and Santon.
Then, there's Tripredacus and, er...Tripledacus. Tripredacus is the Tripredacus Council's combined form, made up of Ram Horn, Sea Clamp and Cicadacon. TripLedacus is a goofy Maximal from Planet Gaea combined from DJ, Gimlet and Motor Arm, who also form a mariachi band. Really.
I guess, for the purposes of this image, these are supposed to be Tripredacus and Magnaboss II, because, as far as I know, the original Magnaboss never took beast forms in the fiction.

I got both these guys' toys when I was a kid. I got Magnaboss' name wrong and called "Megaboss" instead.

Wow, pretty good picture of both the Beast Era Gestalt. If this is the Gaea Magna Boss against the Tripredicus Council, I wonder how it would have come about. Still awesome fight, Magna Boss looks very tough, while Tripredicus is quite frightening looking.

Something awsome like this related to the japanese Beast Wars characters is almost enough to make you forget that in one episode of the anime Tasmania Kid pissed on a fire.

I really liked the fact they made combiners rare in the beast wars era. Makes a battle like this played out for higher stakes.

The original Magnaboss never made any canon appearances. Nor did the some of his parts. Likewise, Tripredacus never made any appearances anywhere, either (Though the Tripredacus Council did, but were unnamed in fiction)

Well, if you include the Gathering and the Ascending from IDW, Magnaboss does appear on Cybertron, or at least the sum of his parts do.

Hm. I actually kind of like them. I guess I'm desperate for anything in the Beast Wars universe these days. Ascending was definitely nowhere near as strong as the Gathering.

BW is my favorite era, so I can sympathize. I just didn't think the comics reached even a quarter of their potential. They almost devolved from an actual story, to "Let's see how many cameos we can cram into this panel!" and a lot of that may have more to do with IDW's editorial faliers, than the creative team (Like the decision to shoehorn AHM into the main continuity instead of allow it to stand on it's own as it was planned).
I think what would have helped a lot, especially with The Gathering, would have been less pointless cameos so the main cast can have more focus and developement, and about two more issues each to build a stronger story.
At least those would have helped for me.

Man this totally kicks ass. I was only able to snag a Magnaboss back when the series was hyped (well actually was lucky one KayBee that I went to actually had them and was marked down to a really nice price.
Tripedacus, got to know them via some Beast Wars 2nd fansub eps I own but never saw the toy.
Anyway totally did fangasm seeing this and I dig it.
