I'm sort of glad you hadn't yet learned that lesson about lines, actually. Β I mean, to be sure, I love that style too, but I feel like the absence of hard-pen lines here actually enhances the already-lovely colors in such a way as to suggest that very particular kind of childhood nostalgia and youthful innocence. Β I'm also really loving the texture of the water here; your method for texturing in general is pretty great, but the way you capture that look of calm rippling here is just really great. Β And our beloved Crusaders all look adorable as all get-out, too; LOVE those calm, cheery faces. <3
