Inked work on A3 paperThis is a single piece of work, not the part of a comic strip.
It is an old idea I had on my do-to list for a while to adapt a Blood Omen scene into the heavily contrasted style of Sin City

Yes, Legacy of Kain and SIn City have quite much similarities in violence and wicked humour, wasn't hard to imagine Kain in Sin City's style

That is really awesome, and the style is really quite different from what you normally do. High contrast shading is classic, like what was used in the golden age and silver age of Marvel and DC. Personally I don't use it myself, but you did a supurb job here.

Thank you. I didn't made inked comic style work earlier, but wanted to make this for quite a while. I had Frank Miller's stuff in mind, the high level of violence and anti-hero characters in his Sin City comics were quite fitting to Kain's person.

Yes, that was exactly the inspiration for this work, Frank Miller's violence-fest comics like Sin City or 300 always makes me think of Kain.

I like both the same but BO2 failed in gameplay at least in my opinion. But I love this industrial steampunk style the game had. And Blood Omen has much better combat style

Damn, this is stylish as hell! I love it! The best ink job I've seen in quite a while. You could be one hell of a comic artist. You said you were going for a Sin City feel? You really got the dramatic lighting down(haha, particularly with that shadow on the brick wall.. Very classic vibe)!! I wonder where he got such an axe though? I don't remember that type being in the games at all. Looks almost like a household-type.
On a side note, even though Frank Miller is awesome I couldn't stand Sin City at all. Characters and plots, in my opinion, just sucked. Seemed like a load of needless gore and sex(Though, to be fair, I only saw the movie and just glances of the comic, so I could be missing something. Plus it's been like 5 years since I've seen it.)
Anyway, this is just so gorgeous!!! No matter what you're using, you always make the muscles so beautifully! You're amazing with this sort of anatomy(though it makes me want to see more types from you).
Eh, but what's with me and the shitty side notes? I only mean to say I think this is wonderful! Really, the bats I particularly like- they pull the whole thing together so well!! It puts me in a reminiscent kind of mood. Great job on this! Really!! Bah I barely use dA anymore(just come on for messages), I'm glad to see many lovely pictures from you.

Yes, Kain never fought with an axe like that, it was Sin City inspired too, I just liked the scene where Marv killed those gunmen with a single axe. Hehe I'm your opposite about that, I quite liked the violence-fest in Sin City, sure it has a very simple plot and characters, but what caught me about it is the wickedness of the characters, and the violence
Yes, I used the bats to fill the background and make a balance in the composition between the ammount of black and white on the sheet. I'm glad you like this work, and also like your comments

different inking and such styles). Though, stick only to what you're
inclined, of course.
