Yes, for some reason people hate Kairi, even though she is an important part of the story.... And people use the ending scene of Kingdom Hearts where she and Sora were about a yard away or so as an example of why they hate her, but they don't think about things like how there could have been a barrier, they were tired and confused, Kairi wanted to go home and had no fighting experience anyway....and Sora could fly...Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Sora, I like almost every character. I'm just saying that a lot of people didn't take that into account. A lot of people (*coughoftenyaoifangirlscough*) Just don't like Kairi, Namine, or Xion....

I am by no means a Kairi hater, but I do believe there isn't a barrier as Kairi and Sora are clearly grasping hands. There's literally nothing stopping Sora or Kairi from stepping over to the other side. But this is news; the Kairi haters blame HER for that? I blame Square-Enix.

Thank you. I have NO idea why everyone blames the characters. The characters can be blamed if they're well written (like Rossiu from 'Gurren Lagann'). However, when stupidity kicks in and the writing quality goes to hell, it's the creator's fault (like Tite Kubo).

Some people argue on that ending that Kairi might not have physically been able to get to Sora due to the fact that everyone had to return to their own worlds, and Sora needed to find Riku so he couldn't go back with her. Just throwing in my ten cents :3

IΒ΄ve noticed that a lot of people who like Sora x Riku hate Kairi because she "gets in the way of Sora and RikuΒ΄s love.".
Then there are the people who hate Kairi because sheΒ΄s worthless.
Well... sheΒ΄s not. People should stop and think; just how DIFFERENT Kingdom Hearts would be without Kairi.
Without Kairi, a lot of the storyline would be cut off. The game would be shorter and less interesting.
And, without Kairi, thereΒ΄s no Namine. Now THAT is a BIG problem.
That would completely ruin and Kingdom Hearts games that have Namine in them, which is most of them.
All the Kairi haters out there can go find a different game to play, because KairiΒ΄s amazing, and sheΒ΄s not going anywhere. DonΒ΄t like a character, too bad, theyΒ΄re not gonna just vanish for you.
