Ah, so this is my Shinsuke Takasugi (from Gintama) cosplay! Urh, it's his Joi War version!
I made the costume in one day so I could wear it Sunday of Mtac! :'D ........ok really I just wanted to play with fake blood! ha ha ha I really like these photos because there is so much emotion behind them. I find this character to be very sad...but oh so cool at the same time!
Oh man....when we went to our regular sushi restaurant ...the waitress knew who I was! She was a huge Gintama fan and ahhh well it kinda made my entire day!! It made me happy that I chose to wear this :"D

Whoa, this is just amazing! Great job with the blood, it looks so realistic. Hope it wasn't too hard to wash off... Love the details on the costume as well. The trim on the coat gives it such a polished feel

I know! D: When we were putting it on my eye, it looked so real I felt bad walking near people thinking they'd freak out lmfao! I patched my eye on the way to the washroom! lol x'D Oh yes, it was water-based so it comes off with just water :D I thought about that! ha ha but my contact lense urhhh....not sure if it will make it!! ha ha we didn't think about taking it out! LOL
It was so cool ;; she was Japanese and I know in Japan Gintama is very popular.

Its been forever since ei've been on deviantart.... but, holy crap you've grown so much as a cosplayer, and in the construction of the costumes. Takasugi is my favorite gintama character as well, and i think you fit the part well. You did brilliantly and I am interested to see if you do his yukata outfit.
