I've sure everyone already knows, but my state was hit pretty hard in the tornado outbreak on Friday. :c There were several funnel clouds that passed over my city (I saw two myself xD) but none of them actually developed into full blown tornadoes thankfully! We got a lot of really large hail though, some over golf ball sized in parts of my county.I feel so lucky. <3 There are a lot of places here that are completely devastated and I could have easily been in the same situation.
...and now they're saying my area is suppose to get 2-3 inches of snow! D: Guys, don't come to Kentucky. xD It's no fun here.
Anyway! About the picture, I wanted to paint clouds because I have so much fun with them! Threw Xeno in there because his design contrasted the best. <3

I'm in Southern TN and while we didn't get much, my folks up towards Nashville got hit pretty good with the hail. Glad you're okay and there wasn't a lot of damage! Lovely picture, I just love his design so much and he does look very nice with those storm clouds.

Gorgeous background work, and your shading and clean lineart are to die for!
My state (Indiana) was hit hard in the southern part, and a whole town was completely leveled

That was on the news even here in Australia. I don't usually watch it but I was in the hospital and they had the TV's on. It looked pretty destructive. I'm glad to hear that you're alright, did it get really windy at your place?

Thanks though! The wind was crazy during those thunderstorms. D: We have one of those wind speed things in our yard and it said 55 mph (80 km/h) during one storm. I've seen worse but that's still really windy. xDD

Wow, that's pretty fast wind compared to what I'm used to. I know that up the top of Australia on Christmas day there was a tornado that almost hit Darwin. I think it dissipated only a few km's off the shore. What a way to spend Christmas.

Wowzers! Glad you're safe..tornadoes are no fun. Our area got hit by two last summer, and we very rarely get hit with tornadoes at all (I live up in Massachusetts). Thing went right by us. Had to drive home from work through it, though.

I agree! I looove watching thunderstorms but tornadoes are no fun! I remember hearing about those Massachusetts tornadoes last year too and thought that it sounded kinda odd for Mass. to be having tornadoes. xD Glad to hear you were missed by them too.

UGH I'm so jealous of your beautiful background skills. ;_; I can't paint good backgrounds for the life of me. What kind of brushes did you use for this?

Let's see. I blocked out the clouds first first a standard hard, round brush, then all the shading/highlighting was done with the "airbrush hard round" brush set at about 30-40% opacity. I do a lot of my background detailing with an airbrush brush. xD I need to do a cloud tutorial someday!

This is gorgeous! I actually live in a state were the weather in winter is very bad, but all the snow we have gotten in a little bit of 1 day sticking snow. Tomorrow it's going to be 73 degrees.

This winter's been really weird. Usually we've had a few decent snows by now too but we haven't gotten anything yet. It's been really disappointing. -_- Haha, it'll be like summer almost for you tomorrow! xD We're suppose to have a few 70 degrees days soon too. <3 Can't wait!

Wait, today is like 60 degrees and tomorrow is like summer. I have been really surprised. Normally our school makes up weeks of snow days, this year we have 1 snow day due to ice, and it melted that night. I can't wait either for tomorrow, the temperature is VERY surprising.
