Took a road trip through northern Scandinavia and Finland over the summer, and I gotta say, Norway is bloody gorgeous. Sadly we only happened to have a short route over there, from Narvik to Kilpisjärvi, but there were some fantastic sights to see. As a first timer, it was kind of shocking to see that within a reindeer's piss of the border from Finland, the environment could be so drastically different. A place well worth revisiting and exploring in more depth, if only to see the mountains again.

Love the photo.

Was it this summer? I made a trip to Norway and northern Finland myself this summer. Could never get bored of Norway it's awesome! When you cross the border from Kilpisjärvi you don't have to drive far before the landscape becomes like something from a movie. Tall mountains, waterfalls and lakes.

Thank you

Yeah, last week of July. Ferried over from Vaasa to Umeå, drove up Sweden up to Kiruna, and from Abisko over to Narvik in Norway. That Abisko-Narvik road was pretty cool too, as it drops down from over a kilometer down to sealevel in 20-30 kilometers, right down to the Atlantic fjords. Even Sweden had way more interesting topography near the Atlantic coast than what you'd find in Finland, with the giant lake Torneträsk surrounded by permanently snowcapped mountains.

You're welcome my dear friend. I dedicate you this quote of Bryant McGill : “The laws of life are written into every atom, molecule and heartbeat. We are immersed in the sweet law of unfolding mystery called life.”

Beautiful!  The way the light is hitting the water, it almost doesn't look real.  Looks a bit like a cotton candy waterfall, really. Nice shot!
