Yeah! ^_^ And when I gave it to her, she said "and since you're giving me art, I'll give you an art too..." and beside signing the Shiver book, she sketched a howling wolf on the page. XDDD
And thanks for the fave!

Perfection has been achieved. You apparently imagined the characters exactly the same way I did.

Oh, really? ^^ That's a very nice thing to hear! In fact I usually have trouble seing the exact image of a character. (This by the way is the reason you can't see Grace's face properly.) But I'm awfully happy with this particular piece.

There's a lot I really like about this picture. First off, the posing is realistic to me, and brings to mind
the lazy winter afternoons I spent bundled up with my dog in the snow. While this probably doesn't
apply to everyone, this picture gave me that warm-fuzzy feeling that you can only get when its
really really cold out with a warm dog. Anyway, I'm rambling. I love the detail on the fur, how you have
it flowing in a realistic way. The eyes are also very vivid, and I like how they're not the same shade
as Grace's hair, so they pop more. Grace herself looks quite comfortable, too. I love the pose, and
the hands came out quite lovely. The simple grey/white shading for the background is very fitting somehow, too.
Also love the snowflakes; They're a cute touch. Lovely work!

When one of my friends saw the picture, she said "Ah, I also want such a soft and fluffy pillow!" XD I used to have a dog when I was a kid (but I was only 5 years old or so) and I'm not sure if I have any leftover memories from that time, which I have inserted in here and whatnot, but being able to snuggle with your pet is a heartwarming feeling. (I've never hugged it in the snow though XD) Knowing my illustration had such an impact on someone gives me the same warm-fuzzy feeling, as well as the feeling of satisfaction. So thank you very much for your comment and shared thoughts!
The pose really took me a long time, actually. I redid the sketch at least 4 times till I get it right. I had to pose myself too, haven't done it for quite a while, hehe.
I love drawing hands, by the way.
And I'm kinda surprised the background turned out so fitting. I had a different image but in the end I stuck to this one. Then I was wondering whether I ought to keep only the trees (it gave deepness in the picture but it was still kinda empty and lonely) or only the snowflakes (they were quite but it still looked empty, boring AND totally flat). Joining them both was a good idea, after all.
So yea, I'm rambling too, lol
