Description Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the founding father of Singapore, passed away peacefully in the hospital on 23 March 2015.

The younger generation might not be able to appreciate (and might even take for granted) what we have today. It was through the hard work of Mr Lee and his team that we can enjoy a beautiful Singapore today. When Singapore separated from Malaysia on 9 August 1965, we have no resources and nothing else to depend on. It was his vision and his mission to turn Singapore into a first world country, and he won't stop until he reaches his goal. Throughout his life, he has dedicated himself to making a better Singapore. Such dedication from our founding father is greatly appreciated by Singaporeans, and we mourn at the loss of a fine leader.

As such, I decided to create this as a tribute to Mr Lee. I captured him in his younger years, when he is working hard to build the country, and his later years, when the country is prosperous and peaceful, yet he is still working hard to bring the country to greater heights. We Singaporean Sons gave our two years to the country; he gave his life to the country, and that really deserves respect. I plan frame it up and offer it as a final tribute to a great man.

The shading on the first one is superb. The second one has nice colour combinations, though it feels a bit rough.

Also, RIP, Mr. Lee.

he crushed dissent
he was a dictator and autocrat plain and simple
make no mistake about it
many singaporeans and their freedoms were sacrificed for the farcical progress of singapore
you sure he is deserving of the praise he is getting

Well if he crushed dissent, I wouldn't be here already

Honestly that writer is just slamming for the sake of slamming

With you copy-and-pasting this same message on LKY tributes all over, I can't help but wonder if you're doing something to Singaporeans that starts with "tr" and rhymes with "bowling".

...You do realise that this guy was libelling the Prime Minister, don't you? Hardly an accurate source to back a claim.

Like I said, there's nothing wrong with criticism, but when one takes it to libel, that goes too far. Roy Ngerng was found guilty of it and sued; I respect that he had a critique of the CPF policy, but the manner in which he did so was not appropriate at all.
