Personality: Ayla is a strong person and relies on her bending to make her stronger. She depends on her bending a lot especially with her job as a nurse She is very caring and will try and do whatever she can to help someone weather she knows them or not. Ayla will always try something new at least once.
History: Growing up Ayla was always the daredevil between her and her twin sister. Ayla always tried to push her sister into doing things but Sora refused. Even with Ayla pushing her, she cared a lot about her and would do anything to protect her. School was when she needed to protect Sora. Both her and Sora were made fun of because their hands and feet were not normal. In Ayla's case she had five fingers instead of four on each hand; and she also had only four toes on each foot. They two always believed they shared each others fingers and toes. She took to her waterbending like a pro and turned to healing mainly, dreaming of being a nurse like her Mom. As she grew she managed to start an internship at the hospital doing healing like her Mom.

Not only was healing a big interest of hers, so was watching probending. She went to go watch a probending match one day but found the match sold out. As she went to leave she ran into someone who invited her in saying he was invited to stand in the announcers box. He took her in and after the match she found out the guy who invited her in was Avatar Cyrain. The two started talking and hanging out a lot; however within the first few months they started dating Cyrain proposed to her. Ayla, thinking it too soon, said no then explained it is too soon. She then offered to wear the betrothal necklace as a promise that one day they will get married, but when the time is ready. Cyrain agreed to that. But, they both had second guesses to being together when Ayla became a target for everyone trying to hurt Cyrain, especially Hoshi who would frequently try to get Cyrain to go into the Avatar State and try to kill him; luckily it never becoming successful.

After sometime Ayla and Cyrain got married and had Twyla. When Twyla was a young toddler, the triads took Ayla and Twyla prisoner and locked them in their base wanting to use them for leverage against Cyrain to make him return some of their members bending they had taken. However, when the two were taken Cyrain was gone for a few months working on helping other towns. When he was let known what happened and had worked out a plan with a family member and the police to get the two out and arrest the triads it had been over a month; but the plan worked. However that wasn't the end of them. Within the next two years the shadows and the triads came together and took over the Earth Republic and Republic City. Hoshi took Cyrain and brainwashed him while the triads took Ayla and Twyla and used Ayla as their own personal healer (among other things). Luckily the all were overthrown, but it took a long time before that happened.

By the time things returned to normal, Ayla and Cyrain were expecting another child. When it was born they named the boy Kuruk.
