ok ... and to begin this account on deviantart, I can not think of a better idea to honor the person who inspired me to start drawing, this girl here is Bagi, the anime film Bagi the Monster of mighty nature, nothing more and nothing unless the master Osamu Tezuka! he and his character "Bagi" was the reason I am here today, I am sorry and I apologize for not being able to do better ...here show a "Bagi" a sort of rainforest ... dressed?? this makes no sense I know, but I can not think of anything else -.-
Bagi deserves respect, so try to make it more streamlined as possible, I love this character XD

This anime and especially Bagi are very important for me, literally I started in the drawing thanks to it. I love this movie, even though I know it is not the best and that it has many errors.
The characters and especially Bagi left a dent and I guess that's the important thing after all (?
By the way, I have drawn Bagi many times although I still feel that none of those drawings do justice to her, maybe one day I will do one that is worthy of her. Obviously I have improved from this horrible thing that I did here XD
Yes!! I knew that anime and also Meeya (Although not exactly by the neatest means *cof* *cof* Dr. Comet *cof*), unfortunately I only saw a couple of chapters years ago, maybe one day I will continue it when I have the time ( Thanks for the link).

I think you did alright. And I personally find Bagi to be a pretty underrated film. I mean, sure it takes some elements from other Disney films and there's a strange amount of fanservice to be had, but I feel there's a lot of potential that people don't give credit.

well.. yeah .. she is a very underrated .. but that goes for style and age of the movie.
In general, Osamu Tezuka's characters are being forgotten, for others more modern and more violent.
Bagi's actually a very original, do not take anything from the Disney movies .. XD
but of course, Tezuka was a big fan of Disney .. and was inspired by jobs of him.

Actually it should be the other way around because Bagi priemired in 1984 while the Batman episode "Tyger Tyger" priemiered in 1992. So I believe it's safe to say that Selena Kyle's feline transformation could be based on Bagi.

Both are quite sexy genetic mutant cat chicks, i believe Bruce Timm and Paul Dini who made Batman TAS were inspired by Bagi when they came up with that episode idea and Selena in catgirl form resembles Bagi and Cleo in one body, i did saw that episode when i was 11 and wolf whistled at Selena and i had a fansub tape of Bagi when i was 15 and did the same thing on whistling at her. I bet the new version of Cheetah on Justice League was also based on Bagi and just as sexy too. Let's not forget April O'Neil on Ninja Turtles was turned into a hot catgirl too, remember?
I adore catgirls for 25 years since i was 4 when i watched Star Trek TAS on Nick and had a crush on M'ress, remember her? as it was her with Cheetara from Thundercats and Cleo from Heathcliff that began my long tmie fascination with catgirls.
Catgirls are such sexy creatures that enchanted men over the years even in legends/myths just like fairies, elf girls and mermaids eh? they have impacted pop culture even in Japanese culture/legends.

Bagi was an interesting character for me as well. Akthough the movie somehow a wrong turn, it was a type of protest by Tezuka against actual genetic experimentation in Japan.

yes .. I knew about it .. in Japan had legalized genetic experimentation on animals and human genes .. and he made the film to a sort of call attention to the issue
