Clutching Uriel like a lifeline, he could only say his goodbyes to Wido. They would meet again. He would not allow loss to be an option.
As his eyes studied his general's face, he found he could not read him. It was to be expected.
He had known Widald.
He did not know Wido.
"Good luck." He said quietly. Wido's answering smile was drawn.
