Description A possible new redesign of Kajirra, the biggest one ever! Not 120% sure yet, still experimenting, but both me and tomoefuchs really like this one
We're definitely not ready to make the call just yet, we agreed we want to take our sweet time with this, trying out things and seeing how they work - but I think it's safe to say now, that both Kajirra and Tomoe will go through some major overhauls!

For old followers of mine, this might be a shocker. I have had Kajirra as a white wolf (or a white fox or a wolf fox hybrid) since I was... like, 10? That would be over 10 years by now. She's been part of my life ever since I can remember and she never really changed. She did have some minor little adjustments over the time; she started with pure white nose and white eyes, that I later turned into black nose and brownish eyes, then she had red eyes for a while, I gave her long fangs in my ice age era and then scratched that again, and the last biggest change was me turning her pink paw pads into black paw pads. But never something more significant than that. There was a short time at the beginning, a long long time ago, where I adopted my friend's proposed redesign which gave her a bit more color in the face, but I abandoned that early on - and the longer I kept Kajirra as a pure white canine, the more reluctant I was to change that about her. Even though there were plenty of times I heavily considered altering her a little bit, giving her something that would stand out, the comfort of keeping my old sona the same always prevailed in the end. There was a time I heavily considered discarding her entirely for a completely new character - and I was actually very close to doing that, before I met tomoefuchs ! I was already exploring the idea of having a mink as a fursona instead, as my connections to the old white wolf Kajirra sadly became more negative than positive. But then Tomoe came and brought back my love for her, through his own love for her.
It felt wonderful and I was immensely flattered to have someone like him adore my old fursona so much, before he even really knew me. That strong connection only grew when we got together. I love our jokes of anything white being Kajirra, and anything brown being Tomoe. I love the nickname he gave me because of her, his snowfluff. I love the backstory and lore we made together for both of our characters within Thira. With him, I rediscovered everything I loved about her as she was, and it was incredibly invigorating. Still very much is! But we soon found things that didn't quite add up. And as much as we both loved everything the way it is, as much as we took these differences as a sweet little thing to appreciate, I can't deny it bugged me anytime I stumbled upon it. I like when things fit and when characters reflect their authors/owners properly, and our sonas were basically inverted, in several major aspects. So we finally decided to try and actually fit them better to ourselves!
As silly as it might sound, the thing that nudged us into that direction were the TES games. I love Oblivion, Tomoe loves Skyrim. These two games are and remain to be the closest to our hearts, the ones we always come back to and feel at home. As I was playing Oblivion few days ago on Tomoe's xbox, I pointed out how funny it is that even here our sonas are reversed - my Kajirra is the northerner despite me loving the soft, lush green forests of Cyrodiil, while his Tomoe is the southerner despite him loving the cold snowy mountains of Skyrim. And, on top of that, the only other race I ever played as beside khajiit was imperial, while the only race Tomoe played as beside khajiit was nord. We laughed, and then continued thinking... well, it really doesn't fit irl us either. Tomoe is the one from northwestern Germany, with ancestors from Scandinavia. Tomoe is the one who LOVES cold air, who refuses to sleep without an open window EVEN IN WINTER, and who šcreams when the temperature in the bedroom is higher than 20°C  Tomoe is the huge, soft bulky man who keeps me warm in the night. Tomoe is the one who's literally the perfect image of a northerner with his pale skin, light blond hair and blue eyes. His sona should be the snow dweller, not mine - my sona should be the tiny petite wolfo from the warm south who needs two coats to travel the northern paths because I CERTAINLY DO, meanwhile my man is the dude who goes outside in a shirt and his shorts no matter the weather.

So yes. Changes are on the way. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I always loved dark brown colors, and especially admired these colors on character designs, so I already knew what I'll be doing with Kajirra. I considered making her dark brown for a long time now, and with Tomoe's lovely support, I finally got to do it! It also fits my brown hair  I'm trying hard to keep most of the whiteness in so it still reminds of the original Kajirra, but you can't really see that here. Basically, as of now, her head and her paws are the only body parts that are colored  I'm striving for a simple yet unique looking design that would fit her and that both me and Tomoe would like, and this one is the first to hit that  But don't worry! Since neither of us is ready to say goodbye to pure white Kajirra, I came up with a very cheap but a functioning solution: Kajirra will have a winter coat! Yay!!
Tomoe was already redesigned as well, we did basically the opposite with him - made him lighter and added more white, to fit in his environment. We're both looking forward to do more stuff with them!
(Also I can't help to mention Tomoe's note that this is Tomoe teaching Kajirra to be intimidating)
