Description This is the free commission that won in my little contest. Based off of Christine Feehan's Dark series. This is basically what happens in EVERY book--girl's vampire bf goes all possessive when anything with a Y chromosome shows up and looks at her the wrong way. Quite humorous.

i haven't read all of them yet, but i'm rather partial to jaques & shea. gregory & savannah take second place

I've read all but two so far.

LucianJaxon is the pair that got me into the series. I also like MikhailRaven, SheaJacques, ManolitioMaryAnn to name a few. GregorySavannah is a cool couple as well.

i started with raphael and colby. it was hilarious, because raphael was trying to be all manly and "i'll protect you!", but he was constantly getting owned by the resident vampire XD

Desertfire In reply to kakashi-no-ai [2009-05-04 01:53:16 +0000 UTC]

lol, well when you put it like that, it is hilarious! RaphaelColby is my fav book but it was pretty entertaining.

For some reason the De La Cruz brothers stories weren't my favs. So far ManolitoMaryAnn is my first fav of the 5 brothers, then probably RaphCol. I haven't fully read NichLara so they may actually hold 2nd place and RaphCol third.

I didn't like RiordianJuliette's story much. It was alright. But I look forward to Zacharias story.

a friend loaned me raphael & colby's book, and then i got to reading them in order, so i haven't gotten to the other brothers yet XD

Desertfire In reply to kakashi-no-ai [2009-05-05 00:52:15 +0000 UTC]

I see. I haven't read any in order, I've been skipping around. I've read most all of them. I got the last couple of books and was gonna read the them in order but ended up not doing so. lol. It actually doesn't bother me.

no, they all are perfectly good on their own, but you learn a lot more about the family trees if you go in order

As a Christine Feehan fan, who has read all of the books several times and owns almost all of them and scrounged from the tallest peaks to the lowest valleys for the first one... and who blew her last pay money to buy the Dark Hunger manga edition because she HAD TO HAVE IT... I must say that your picture...

... Is so damn correct, it's not funny.

Actually, it is funny. I love it.

Christine Feehan's twist on the traditional vampire is beautiful, her writing brings laughter to my lips and tears to my eyes and the feminazi urge to beat arrogant Carpathians senseless to my fists... but enough of that. As a fellow lover of Christine Feehan and eye-roller of arrogant Carpathian machoism... I am FAVING THIS!

kakashi-no-ai In reply to Idle-Tears [2007-11-06 20:47:46 +0000 UTC]

i know! what got me through them is looking for the differences in the characters. she always makes sure that the male and female protagonists are different from the others so as not to keep writing about the same characters, only with different names

Idle-Tears In reply to kakashi-no-ai [2007-11-06 21:46:08 +0000 UTC]

i'm starting to see that. I'm getting sick of the vampire attack nearly killing one of them... *rolls eyes* and i still have 14 of them to go lol.

well, dark secret is hilarious--the male is all "i'm so macho! i own you! i protect you! for i am the MAN!" and then gets the shit beaten out of him several times by the antagonist vampire XD

Hey, I just has another thought. What if a lesbian tried to get close to his lifemate, what would he do then?

Oh, and another thing. Since you like Christine Feehan you might like the story I wrote about a half angel, half vampire. (kinda in christine style) Check it out and let me know what you think. ^_^

yup. every single book. and what's even worse is that YOU were the one who got me into this. one would think that the one who got the person hooked would forever be the leader and all-knowing. ah well...i suppose i just had more time on my hand and better resources for reading said books.
