Description This is inspired by one of the ongoing Thor comics, which starts with the other gods being dead and so he resurrects them one after another. This picture is something I've had in mind ever since I first read it. I just got the impression that he missed Loki more than anyone else. I felt so sorry for him all alone in Asgard. The text is inspired from something Donald Blake says in the beginning

One thing I hate about this comic though, is that they made Balder their brother...which I feel is wrong, but I guess they wanted to do something alternative

Listened to this while drawing: [link] shy by sonata arctica. That band is just....they make the most beautiful music. Their songs always sound so fairytale-ish

Yeah, but I've never seen him being their brother in any other Thor comic. So I dont like the concept

They're just called Thor. I think the first 12 issues are numbered 001- 012. then at number 13 they started numbering them 600 instead. so number 13 would be 600, number 14 601 and so on. That's all I know, if you're trying to download them

thank you ^^ well, I dont remember where I downloaded them and the comics I own, I've bought at a comic book store. but maybe check ebay or amazon? I can recommend 'Thor the mighty avenger'. It's the only Thor comic I really like. it's sweet and similar to the movie

Well, almost two years in Mexico out that part of the comic you say (we are in Journey to the Mysteri already) is more than proven that the more strange, and its complement is his brother.
I love the part where everyone is told not raise it, and does so because it strange that his brother is first of all.

I think it shows the true feelings within him ;_____;
Alas even Thor loves his brother dearly, he's just too oaf-y sometimes tand neglects Loki ..

God, just looking at this is making me so emotional. Personally, taking into account the movie, the comics and the Norse myth, I've always felt more attuned with Loki. And seeing him happy with his brother just, I dunno, squeezes my heart and makes me think of the song "Feels Like Home" from My Sister's Keeper. A triple thumbs up. :'D

I believe both the resurrection of other gods by Thor post-Ragnarok and the Balder-as-brother (Thor is Odin's son, Loki is adopted, Balder is Odin and Frigga's only child, his death caused by Loki) bit are straight out of the older myths- not nearly as well known as the comic stories, but a very cool place to gather source material. I don't think Loki is resurrected, though, in the old stories, and I LOVE this depiction of reunion far better than the thought of him being left behind with the few others who were deemed unworthy. Nice job on depicting this scene- I love that Loki is not only jumping into his arms, but looks like he's clinging to him as though this is the best thing that's ever happened. The bond between the brothers is something I love to see explored in artwork.

Haha, yea, it's possible. I honestly think the mighty avenger are the best Thor-comics. I think the live action movie is pretty similar to it also, which is nice.

well Balder IS son of Odin and brother of Thor in the legends, so they just fixed a big mistake they did when creating the comics... and made a great use of it in my opinion, JMS know his way around writing.

hehe, Yea I know he is Odin's son in norse mythology but I'm so used to how the Thor-comics have always been and I like them that way. I just love how only Thor and Loki are Odin's kids, even though he had many of them in the mythology x)
