I think the best thing about your artwork is your attention to detail. And I don't necessarily mean how many feathers you paint, I mean how you compose your pictures. For example, the way kalamu's tail feathers sort of cup around him is totally making me geek out. And the way kalamu's face is smooshed looking over his shoulder. I do think emphasizing the left shoulder coming down the back as he turns might have helped emphasize the pose, but it totally works on its own!

Oh dear, Kalamu, I think my "Forcing Myself To Learn The Process Of Respecting Pink" rituals are working to the point of actually beginning to severely enjoy the colour....I really like this piece a lot. That sky is completely delicious. I love your textures here too, it makes me want to run out and paint. I just painted an awful pink canvas too. Kalamu looks very lovely, I like her rump and the way her spine looks too. I love her cruel expression too, you really gave her the "Wicked Woman" sort of look I think. The poor little creature, but it amuses me greatly. Wow, that was a spluttery comment.

Haha, so much awesome. I can't help but stare at this and marvel at your coloring skill--love the real media watercolor look too, the texture of the "paper" is a really nice touch (unless it's actually paper and then I will just feel silly). Also the anatomy is wonderful! I really love Kalamu's foot for some reason. :3
