Nenril-Tf is currently holding a contest, in which she invites her watchers to redraw one of her works: CONTEST AND COMMISSION

I chose Nyx , the goddess of night. There are many things I love about the original work: The flowing hair and fabric, the facial features which look kind of exotic, the graceful pose, the veil being a starry sky, the overall mood of elegance, magic and mystery... Besides, I have always been fascinated by the night.

My favorite part was working on the veil. I enjoyed coloring it to resemble a nebula, shading the folds and layering it to create a semi-transparent look.
The whole painting was done in GIMP.
