Bluestar was definitely one of my favorite Warriors cats...and she was one of the first strong female characters I ever read! Granted, eventually she changed, but she showed a dynamic character arc...honestly, I really commend the Erins for writing wonderful female roles (even if they're only cats
).She's described, even in Into the Wild, as being pretty old, so I can only imagine she's got more than a few scars. She's also described as having a large shoulder scar, so I made that one the most prominent. Plus a few graying patches, because, of course, she's old.
i have about 5 million other things i should be doing but i have a mighty need to draw warriors fanart, so muahahaha you will suffer my sketches

aaahhh thank you!! i use lots of references, mostly because I struggle with their faces.
I have such distinct pictures of them in my head, though, so I'm also using this as practice for using unique facial structure, body shape, etc., to create more diverse characters...it's one of my biggest pet peeves about my own artwork and characters

I get that, it's so vital to developing your style. With characters especially, making them all distinct. Different shapes and forms and colors... it's a lot to consider xD
The books are a bit bland when it comes to the looks of the characters, tho maybe it's because we here are used to more complicated designs :'D

Not all of them - they only get their name changed to "star" after they become leader x3 originally they were Fireheart, Bluefur, and Talltail
