Another addition to my series of cryptids. The "Ropen" is a bioluminescent pterosaur said to terrorize the locals of Papua New Guinea, feasting on the people there. Although I doubt its existence, still pretty cool to think about. Perhaps it was a case of mistaken identity confusing with an abnormally large flying fox.

A similar animal is said to reside in the Congo called the "Kongamato".
