Description
This is Kagayaki. She is from my more creative years in high school. Basic background...she's one of the 4 horseman of the apocalypse (those would be horse ears on her head, har har). She is the first horseman, which would be "conquest" hence the bow, and the white ears and wings. The first horseman is said to be either good or evil, and that is because she was given the right to choose. While the other 3 (war, famine and death) are purely 'evil", Kagayaki is separate from the path of the other 3. Basically, the fate of humanity is in her hands. She can choose to save or destroy.technical details...drawn in pencil, scanned in, colored in photoshop CS4.
OMG, Kyendo, I totally finished her. Just like I said I would. Like...3 years later.

I like her cloak! And I think your idea would make a pretty cool game
I do see some areas that could be improved. Her arms are about half the size of her torso, so they look rather bulky. I think her shoulder width looks good, so thinning the arms from the inside would help (i.e., bringing the armpit higher and more to the outside)
Also, I find her lips a bit obtrusive. The angles are too strong and kind of makes her look like she's pouting. I would shrink the middle curve and make the angles more subtle.

For the lines, I just scan in the drawing, and then use the levels to get the contrast I want. Then I set the blending mode to multiply. I make sure the outlines are the top most layer, and any color I do goes underneath.
