Been working on this for a few weeks now. I'm quite happy with the results!!'Tis Kalico the calico cat-dragon soaring high into the blue cloud-filled sky........
Drawn with microns and colored pencils on 9x12 bristol board.
Bad scan=bad colors ;_;. In real life, the orange is a lot more...orange. Here it looks reddish Oo;. Oh, and I had to do two scans because it was too big, so ignore that noticeable scanning line xD.
Kalico and picture are copyright to me. No stealing! Not like you would...right??

My self-esteem just dropped several points.
Holy cow! I can never get colored pencils to behave that way! Incredible detail, and great background, too! It's as if I could reach out and touch Kalico's fur. Her proportions are incredibly well-maintained. Wow.
I have two questions:
One, how long did it take to make this, and
Two, how long have you been drawing?

To answer your questions...
one: Hmm...I'm not quite sure, actually. I watched about 8 episodes of 24 season 1 (love that show!) and spent some concentrated time on it without a show on...so I'd say about 1 hr for the sketch, another 1 hr for the lineart, 4 or so for the coloring, and another hour for the sky ^^. But, those times are probably WAY off, since I didn't really keep track
two: Well, I've been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil, and before! When I was two or three, I got my scissors confiscated because I *ahem*triedtocutmybabysittershairandgotc aught*ahem*. I then proceeded to make these hearts that I tore out of paper and then colored them....yeah xD. So, for as long as I can remember, I've loved art and drawing.
