ETAA: “Eyes To An Artist…” is a series of short fan comics. They tend to contradict each other, and will most likely be contradicted by canon that airs after it’s drawn. They exist to keep ideas and plot bunnies from running away. Please do not let inconsistencies between comics confuse you.*gasp* Did I actually do a comic without Zuko in it? I did! I got an Aang and Kuzon plot bunny inspiration and ended up with this 24 hours later. Short, but I think it came out perfect, and they’re just adorable little troublemakers!
For those who don’t know who Kuzon is, he’s mentioned by Aang in Episode 13: The Blue Spirit, as one of his friends from 100 years ago. I based his appearance on the theory that Kuzon is Zuko’s grandfather.

I wish Kuzon had been mentioned more. I was hoping for some flashbacks since he was Aang's best friend.. I love the mention of Aang getting his new tattoos when he became a master.

Well, that's not really possible, considering Zuko's grandfather was the second ruler to lead the war... though it could be his gradfather on his MOTHER'S side.... who knows?
I always kinda felt Zuko was some sort of... reincarnation of Kuzon (well... minus the "N" and rearrange the letters, it speels "Zuko")

who know you may be right that Kuzon was Zuko Grandfather on his mothers Side like Kuzon could have been Ursa Father or they could have had Kuzon turn out to be Onji grandfather because remember Aang did say his friend Kuzon had lived in the Village they were at in the headband and wouldn't it have been cool for Aang if he had ran into another one of his old friends.

Yes, after we learned more about Zuko's lineage, the theory became harder to fit, but I still have hope that Aang's old friend is important! Even if he isn't, he will be in my fanon.

awwww, it's so cool and heart-breaking at the same time! Your Kuzon looks REALLY cool, but when you think that Kuzon is most likely dead (or maybe he's a super-centenian like Bumi). We might end up never seeing him! Makes me a little sad for Aang, losing all his old friends to time. He still has Bumi, but there is now a 100 year difference between them. So sad.

Yeah, Kuzon's most likely dead, although there's always the possibility of seeing him in flashbacks. Especially since the next Book is Fire.

Canon says Sozin started the war. I wrote this before Zuko's lineage was revealed, and we know now that Kuzon wasn't Zuko's grandfather along the royal line, my theory was wrong. I still believe he's on the family tree somewhere, though.

There are a few people who do Kuzon fanworks, but since he's never appeared on the show, only been mentioned once, it’s almost like creating an OC. I still think he’s cool. To be a friend of Aang, he’d have to be. XD

It's such a pain when you never see a character that's mentioned, isn't it? Yeah, Kuzon's kick ass, I hope he comes into the show sooner or later.
You've done a good job on guessing what he looks like though. He'll probably look like Zuko with the hintings...

I'm writing a story on fanfiction.net and I've had writers block on this one story where Zuko and Kuzon are like reincarnated and stuff.... it's a lot like a that christmas story, anyway, the point is I've had writers block and I was wondering if I can barow this idea from you comic? Have you ever wandered what Zuko's cousin looked like? Judging by the tone of his voice during the finale of Avatar Book One, it almost sounded like he missed him. They must've been really good friends or something.
