The ill-tempered monk eyed the bag dangling from the foreigner's fingers, slightly twitching at the sight of tiny pink hearts. Nothing Bishop Hazel had done so far led Sanzo to take any interest in the man's strange ways, and this time was no different.

As far as he was concerned, it was all pointless and useless. The fact that a small bag of sweets was of some great importance only enforced this opinion within the blond monk. He could hear his entourage snickering behind his back.

Walking away hadn't worked, and after doing so all morning, his nerves were wearing dangerously thin. Hazel's blue eyes were filled with such hope and admiration, it was obvious he wasn't going to give up. Sanzo had no choice but to take the gift...

...and promptly tossed it over his shoulder into the hands of whomever was quickest. From the victory cheer, it was Goku. No surprises there.

Sanzo turned away from the crestfallen bishop. He'd never understand how making a complete fool of yourself was supposed to make you more attractive to the object of your usually unwanted affections. It was just stupid.

Bwahahahaha! I have a feeling that Sanzo and I have similar opinions of this holiday and romance in general. Yeah, fine, do what you want just keep me out of it. Actually, that motto could probably be applied to anything.

This was something quick I sketched up yesterday. Originally, the candy was supposed to be an anonymous gift to Sanzo, leaving people to wonder who the gifter was, but this made for a funnier story. After having to shade Hazel's outfit, I kinda wish I'd gone with the first idea. XD
