This is me and my sponsored child, Malkis, from Colombia. She means a lot to me, and I don't write her as often as I should. I started sponsoring her when she was 10, and she's now 15... thanks to Compassion Canada.I drew this on New Year's of 2009. It's been a long time before that since I had used markers and pencils, and it was fun to try again for her birthday gift.

There's something about the hair I just love. Okay, I just love how you shaded this period. It brings out a really cool effect and makes you two stand out!

aaww^_^ good to know you still keep in touch though. Nice job on the markers. I'm doing my own experimenting with media though.. i dont think mine went as well as yours did dunno.. youd have to critique copics on watercolour paper with ink is hard to do lol.. you did this really well though. Congrats and many more happy days to the both of yous. XD

wow copics on watercolour paper! Well I did use my copics before on thick paper but not sure how well they would take to the grain of watercolour paper, have link to your final piece? ^^

Aw that's so awesome ^^. how old are they now? I think I should switch to writing my child emails, because I'm so bad with letter-writing. I get all these good things to put in the letter (stickers and what not) then keep forgetting to write til it's months later ToT.
