I wanted to share a little story regarding the designs and inspirations for my starters <3

For the most part, in order to make my life easier in designing all 6 starters, I've followed a theme. The theme for the Dakila Region lays heavily on the concept of "Heroism and Royalty".

"Dakila" is a Filipino word that literally means "greatness, highest, or large". The Philippines never had a monarchical government but the country is full of epics about mythical and legendary heroes that helped shaped the country's culture as it is today. I wanted to market my country's immensely beautiful and colorful history through art. This what helped me build my Dakila world.

That is why the names of the 6 starters is inspired of royal titles: Monarchel. Torregnant. Hauleking. Tyranticord. Virulord. Crownedelic.

Now, the real reason why I have named the Region "Dakila" is the unique rivalry of famous universities in the country. This helped me create the main mechanics of the story:

The hero and heroine are freshmen in a war between universities. The goal is to earn the crown for the best university in the region. But is it all there is to it?

The anti-hero offers their service and life for the students in the Dakila. Their goal is to uphold the region's famous reputation. But could there be another reason for it?

This really intrigued me and I have yet to experience this kind of concept in the Pokemon world wherein you get to be adult trainers with separate beliefs; both with good intentions but with questionable means.

I'm planning on fleshing-out the universities soon but I have to accomplish the Dakila Dex before doing so.
